Learn to lead climb Course

If you want to Learn to Lead climb our course will teach you all you need to know, our courses normally run over 3 sessions as there is a lot to learn. On our course we'll talk about general safety and risks associated with lead climbing, how to lead climb and lead belay.

All First Adventure instructors are CWDI (CWA) certified, which means they are trained to teach lead climbing to a National Standard.

Our “Learn to Lead” course is for experienced top rope climbers looking to make the next step in the world of climbing. The course consists of 3 sessions, which are 2 hours long though small changes can be made to this format if needed.

At the end of the course you will be comfortable with all aspects of lead climbing and lead belaying.

Our “Learn to Lead” climb courses are run as a private course and require two people to be booked on for the course to run. We run our “Learn to Lead” climb courses at most of the venues in the Leeds Area.


Requirements:

Previous experience is required.

You must be able to fit a harness, tie an appropriate climbing knot and top rope belay.

It's recommended that you are climbing comfortably at 5+/6a

Participants must be 18 or over.

All equipment is provided.

Clothing and footwear should be suitable for sporting activities.

Price:

£70 per person (based on a minimum of 2 people)

As we are an independent company please book at least 2 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. Last minute bookings may be available, please feel free to contact us.

Once booked the cancellation policy applies. To move a booked session incurs a £20 charge.

Please note there are no refunds for people who fail to attend.
